Minimizing carbon dioxide gas emissions from the water tube boiler by co firing using natural gas at Rene pharmaceutical industry
Abstract
Steam is used in granulation section for drying the granules in the fluidized dryer and also in the steam kettle for boiling the paste. During its production, diesel is burnt to heat the water in the boiler to form steam. Diesel is a fossil fuel and when burnt, it emits a lot of carbondioxide gas emissions that cause global warming and thus leading to climate change. In this research project, co-firing was investigated as a means to reduce the emissions.
