Primary data was collected using standard questionnaires and telephone interviews and was codded and analyzed using Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPASS 2010). The study shows that all the interviewed farmers (100%) use deep litter system when raising broilers because it’s cheap. The live weight of birds in the study is 1.8kg at 6weeks of age and the main challenges faced by farmers were; fake drugs and vaccines on market and lack of enough market for readily broilers (16.7%). The recommendation in the study is; supporting farmers to mix their own feeds at their farms so that they have birds with a heavier weight that meets the required weight on market.en_US
