dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the profitability of longline gear technology developed for the purposes of evaluating the feasibility of fishing African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) on Lake Wamala. The data was collected by face to face questionnaire on printed papers between the collector and the fishermen. To evaluate the profitability of the venture, indicators of investment returns were determined such as net return and payback period, breakeven point To help the farmers to understand the management, economic and business aspects of cat fish fishery on Lake Wamala.en_US
