| dc.description.abstract | The study focuses on “guidelines for improving library services at Kawanda Secondary School”, this includes how services are currently provided at the Kawanda Secondary School Library, and how library services are managed at the Kawanda Secondary School Library, challenges facing the provision of the services and the possible guidelines on how to improve the library services.
Various methods of gaining data and information from the library community are also taken during the study, with data being collected from the school teachers, students using the library and most importantly the school librarians. Interviews were issued, questionnaires distributed to the various students found with in the library, population studied, sampling, and sample size .Research tools such as the interview guide, questionnaire guides were all used and distributed in the study.Textbooks are the most used material in the Kawanda Secondary School library , these are used generally as the entire classroom might borrow library material at once or individuals borrow the books on their own , a circulation desk stands were two librarians manage the library at the school , poor reading habits , limited space among students due to their educational backgrounds , however improving on the library stock would also improve on how services are provided at the school , user education amongst other suggested measures. | en_US |
