| dc.description.abstract | The study focused on how the internet is used as a source of research for studio painting a case study of
the Margret trowel school of industrial and fine art in Makerere University. Like many different research
sources, painting students go in and out of sources. However, while some students today embrace the
traditional sources of studio painting used, these are not simply technique and style, but rather are
accompanied with principles and elements connected to all artistic discipline. Through oral interviews and
historical research, the research examined how the internet is used as a source of research for studio
painting at the Margret trowel school of industrial and fine art in Makerere University. A clear learning
environment exists to satisfy the aspirations and desires of the emerging artists with unique studio
painting styles which are of the result of browsing the internet and also come with strong ideation.
Although there are lots of research sources used in studio painting across the continent and indeed in the
world over, there, however, are still some major ones that are prominent and to which people readily
relate. However, only little has been written about how the internet is used as a source of research for
studio painting. Adopting a descriptive approach, a sample size of respondents was taken randomly in
Kampala, at the Margret trowel school of industrial and fine art in Makerere University. The study
revealed that the use of the internet as a source of research for studio painting emerges as the most
important. The study also shows that the effective application of knowledge got from the internet to
studio painting projects will help improve studio painting itself.
Chapter one comprised of the introduction, the background, the rationale of the study, the statement of the
problem, objectives as well as research questions, scope of the study, content scope, geographical scope,
significance of the study and limitations.
Chapter two comprised of the introduction, literature review and a conclusion but mainly about the
literature review.
Chapter three comprised of the introduction, research design, area and population of the study, sampling
strategy, data collection methods, data analysis, ethical analysis and limitations of the study. In other
words it's was about the methodology.
Chapter four comprised of an introduction as well as data analysis from the questioner and chapter five
comprising of the introduction, summary of the study, conclusion and recommendation. | en_US |
