dc.description.abstractWater resources of a country constitute one of its vital assets that significantly contribute to the socio-economic development and poverty eradication. However this resource is unevenly distributed in both time and space. The major source of water for the people living in rural Bulamaji Sub-County is direct rainfall which is recently experiencing variability that threatens the distribution of resource and water availability in rural Bulamaji Sub-County. The prevalence of water-related diseases and associated health risks in rural Bulamaji Sub-County of Iganga is discussed. The aim of the study was to examine the trend of the diseases, health risks and common water sources in the rural Bulamaji Sub-County and suggest intervention measures. Questionnaires were used to gather information from people living in rural Bulamaji Sub-County. Interviews were held with Bulamaji Sub-County official at the headquarters. The dissertation reviews the common water sources and common water-related diseases affecting people living in rural Bulamaji Sub-County.
