dc.description.abstractThe research focuses on the use of oil painting for the preservation of Acholi cultural values and norms. A case study in Makerere university Kampala at Margaret Twowell school of industrial and fine art (MTSIFA). with the objective of examining whether oil painting can be used as a tool to preserve the Acholi cultural values and norms. Already existing information about the Acholi cultural values and norms were got from the internet in order to make the research richer. Descriptive research design was used. The study area was Makerere school of industrial and fine art. T he research findings were discussed using the research questions and questionnaires. The researcher concludes the Acholi cultural values and norms actually do exist in oil painting as well as visual artsen_US
