dc.description.abstract | Post-competition and training recovery is a vital component of the overall exercise training program, and essential for high-level performance and continued improvement if the rate of recovery is appropriate. The study purposed to assess post-competition and training recovery knowledge and practices among Uganda Premier League Clubs. A questionnaire was used to get responses on post competition and training recovery knowledge and practices. The study participants included players, coaches and officials from, Proline FC, Express FC and SC Villa FC. The findings indicate that coaches and soccer athletes are fairly informed about post competition and training recovery practices. However, are willing to adopt new post training and competition recovery methods. The preferred method in use by most players and coaches were warm up, cool down and stretching. | en_US |
