dc.description.abstractThe research is entails an automated records storage and retrieval. The aim of this research is to change the storage method at silent ocean cargo in order to improve on its services towards its clients and in this it is to find out the types of records found n silent ocean cargo, challenges og records storage and retrieval in the company, , solutions to the challenges faced in the records storage and retrieval. The problem of the study was misplacement of records and loss of client’s records. The techniques which were used to store records were the qualitative method which was interview technique that was a source of tool that was used in the collection of data about the study “Automated records storage and retrieval system” Observation method was also another technique that was used to analyze the conditions in which the records were stored in. The findings during the research included: types of records found in silent ocean cargo and their importance‟s, and challenges encountered in storage practices at silent ocean cargo. In conclusion this research which was about an automated records storage and retrieval system for silent ocean cargo and the findings got will enable workers to know more about records storage and retrieval system.en_US
