The study aimed at designing Digital Library for Nsambya Carpentry and Crafts Development Association (NSACADA). The objectives of the study were to; examine the current Digital Library used to manage resources at NSACADA Resource Centre, establish challenges affecting the current system, and examine the requirements needed for A Digital Library for NSACADA Resource Centre and to design a Digital Library for NSACADA Resource Centre. The study employed a case study design while adopting both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Purposive sampling and convenience sampling were used to sample the 25 respondents who participated in the study. Interviews, observation guide, questionnaire and observation methods were used to collect relevant data for the study. The study established that NSACADA resource center acquires a wide variety of information resources available on carpentry work for users to meet their needs. The print information materials were; textbooks, journals, magazines, pamphlets, periodicals, and newspapers which are supplied daily. NSACADA information center houses non-print such as electronic journals, books plus free books on the internet which are accessed through subscription, compact discs. Mostly paper-printed records and other information materials. Very few electronic information materials on all forms of media can be found in the resource center such as CDs, DVDs and others. The challenges in accessing information resources among workers were Absence of online information system, Lack of skills by users, Limited staff to attend to users’ needs, inadequate information materials, inadequate Resource Centre Staff, out dated information resources in the resource center, limited reading space, and disorganized information resources in the resource center among others. The requirements for designing a Digital Library for NSACADA were support the staff in provision of the information resources to the users, easy to use, a user friendly interface, compatibility with the available hardware and software, accessible to only the authorized users and ensure security for the information materials. The study concluded that electronic library materials would be acquired in the NSACADA resource center to support the needs of users. Inadequate funding as a major challenge would be solved by increasing the library funding in order to provide adequate funding and staff. The study concluded that there was a need for a Digital Library for NSACADA Resource Centre help in the management of library resources at the NSACADA resource center. The study recommended that electronic library materials should be acquired through increasing the library funding in order to curb the challenge of inadequate funds and improve on the Resource Centre Staffing in order to effectively provide the information resources to the users of information. The study further recommended the NSACADA Resource Centre Staff to adopt the designed proposed Digital Library to support them while offering resources to the users.
