Assessing storage and storage and retrieval of active records at Uganda Registration Service Bureau registry
Abstract
The study was carried out on assessment of automated records management system and the aim was to investigate on how records are created, assess the status of records storage and retrieval system, benefits of automation, challenges that are faced while managing automated records management system and possible solutions to those problems.
The study was conducted at Uganda Registration Service Bureau. In the process of data gathering, interview and questionnaire guides were employed; participant observation was also another way that helped the researcher to attain the information needed.
The researcher came up with recommendations that would help curb down the existing problems faced currently at Uganda Registration Service Bureau in the Business Registry.
All in all this study was to be an eye opener to concerned authority of the good importance of automated records management. And besides this research will be used by other researchers for reference purposes.
