    Abstract
    The impact of increasing market shares of street art in relation to growth of art galleries in jinja. This report is focused on the difference and competition among art galleries and street art or art works sold on the street. The area of study has been also looked into by other artists. This report shows how and why most artist have chosen to sell or exhibit art on the street instead of professional art galleries. The topic of this research was from the fact that art galleries are very unpopular and that affects professional artist since they always have to sell or exhibit their art works in art galleries. the research was conducted in Uganda (jinja) because there is a high rate of street art compared to art galleries along main street. The report has two chapters, chapter one introduces the topic and area of a study and chapter two looks at literature review. The literature review looks at other scholars’ say about street art and art galleries. Field research was conducted with data collection through interviews, questionnaire and photography Th sole purpose of the study was to see how artist through art galleries can still be able to sell their art works.
