    Abstract
    This study was conducted to examine the causes of uncoordinated development patterns, their impacts on the urban setting and the possible strategies to minimize such developments in Kampala city especially Kimwanyi zone. This study was presented in five chapters ,chapter one covered introduction of the study , literature review (chapter two), research methodology (chapter three), presentation and discussion of the research findings (chapter four) and finally conclusions and recommendations (capture five ).
