    Abstract
    Utafiti huu umeshughulikia na kuchunguza Athari za Lugha za Lumasaba katika ujifunzaji wa Lugha ya Kiswahili, hasa kwa matamshi na namna matamshi hayo hutamkwa kwa Lugha tofauti na Yule mzawa anapokuwa anajifunza Lugha ya Kiswahili au Lugha za kigeni. Vilevile, Utafiti huu ulichunguza jinsi lafudhi ya lugha ya Lumasaba inaathiri matamshi ya Kiswahili. Athari ya Lughaya mama au Lughaya kwanza katika kusoma na kujifunza Kiswahili nakuongea lugha ya pili ambayo nitatizo linalozikabili jamii ya Bukusu na Bugisu wakati wanapojifunza kuongea lugha ya Kiswahili. Lafudhi ni changamoto kubwa sana kwa wasomi wa eneo hilo. Lafudhi ni namna ya kipekee ya kutamka matamshi unaoathiriwa na lughaya mama, mazingira yake ya kijiographia au kiwango ya eneo anapojifunza Lugha ya pili.
