    Abstract
Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, colour or other medium to a solid surface. The medium is commonly applied to the base with a brush, but other implements, such as knives, sponges and airbrushes, can be used. In art the term painting describes both the act and the result of the action. There a forms of painting IE water and oil colors. Watercolor is a painting technique making use of water-soluble pigment that are either transparent or opaque and are formulated with gum to bond the pigment to the paper. Oil painting specifically means a form of art where color or pigments are used to express ones feelings on different mediums.
