    Abstract
    Photography has a big role it plays in our daily life such as;capturing moments that one can look back on even after several years, advertising products, some people do photography for commercial purposes Therefore this research proposal is investigating the impact of photography in the process of making paintings a case study in Central Kampala. The research is also to make critical analysis of the photographic processes the selected painters use while developing their paintings as well as the challenges and successes the painters who indulge photography in their painting process face. The research consists of the literature review which has research done by other scholars, re-known authors, information from the internet but to mention a few.
