    Abstract
This study explores the impact of the Nyege Nyege festival on crime rates in the area of Itanda Falls. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional approach, crime data from local law enforcement agencies is analyzed to examine crime rates during the year and the festival period. The study investigates whether the festival influences crime dynamics and aims to provide insights for event safety and security management. Descriptive and comparative analyses are employed, with ethical considerations and potential limitations addressed. Findings contribute to understanding the relationship between festivals and crime rates, offering valuable guidance for local authorities, event organizers, and policymakers. Ultimately, the study fosters safer festival environments while celebrating cultural vibrancy.
