    Abstract
In this 21st century, social media has become widespread as more and more people use it for various purposes, businessmen inclusive. As seen in this report, businessmen use it in many areas of their businesses as a tool for development. This study specifically concentrates on how social media has helped develop businesses in Nakawa Division, Kampala District. That is to say the impact of the use of social media as a tool to grow their businesses. I found out that to a greater extent, social media has been very useful to businesses in area of sales, research, marketing amongst others. My findings therefore conclude that social media is a useful tool in the area of business because it has a positive impact on businesses. I recommend that more businessmen take it up to grow their businesses.
