Abstract
Taxi parks are cleared areas that are intended for parking of public transport modes. In Kampala, taxi parks such as Old Taxi Park, New taxi parks, Namayiba taxi parks were established to provide a feasible and sustainable transit-oriented development for the taxi parks and the surrounding.
The research presents an empirical study that analyses the implication of the location, state and management of major and mini taxi parks in Kampala city
Chapter One explores the background on the taxi parks in Kampala city, the research problem, objectives, scope and justification for the study.
Chapter Two is a review of the various publications and literature on the implication of the location, state and management of taxi parks by various scholars and researches.
Chapter Three presents a detailed description of the research methods used to achieve the objectives of the study. It addresses in detail the study area, research design, survey population, sample design, sample size, sampling procedure, choice of data sources and collection tools, data processing, analysis and presentation as well as the limitations of the study.
Chapter Four presents the research findings.
