dc.description.abstract Factors significantly associated with anaemia status among children would be clearly identified for better policies to curb its prevalence if multiple regression analysis is used. However several research concerning anaemia have carried out descriptive and bivariate analysis. The researcher focused on binary logistic regression analysis for this study to evaluate significant factors associated with anaemia in children. This research used secondary data previously collected through a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional study design for the Uganda Demographic Health Survey report of 2016. The data was edit to only cover Acholi region where a sample of 1135 households were considered. Study findings indicated that anemia status among children was significantly associated with maternal education and household wealth quintile where those whose mother had attained tertiary education and those from rich families were less likely to be anaemic as compared to those whose mothers had not attained any formal education and those from poor families respectively. The recommended that more emphasis should be put on the girl-child education in order to equip women with information and understanding on how to care for children and also setting up projects aimed at providing food supplements rich in iron as a way to fight anaemia as children from households in the poor wealth quintile had more risk of being anaemic. en_US
