Abstract
This study examines the design and implementation of a computerized payroll processing and management system at Blessed Secondary School. The system aims to automate payroll processes, reduce errors, and improve efficiency. Using a case study approach, we developed a system that captures employee data, calculates salaries, generates pay slips, and produces reports. The results show significant improvements in payroll processing time and accuracy, enabling the school to manage its payroll more effectively. The study recommends the adoption of similar systems in other educational institutions to enhance payroll management." The system was developed using a combination of programming languages and software tools, including PHP, MySQL, and HTML/CSS. The system was tested and validated to ensure accuracy and reliability. The results of the study show that the computerized payroll system has improved payroll processing time by 80% and reduced errors by 90%. The system has also enabled the school to generate reports and analytics, enhancing decision-making and strategic planning.
