dc.description.abstract The study starts with an introductory part, MTISFA student intake pre course. A case study of jewelry. It then gives some enlighten on the history of jewelry of the world and the techniques that were used to make beautiful jewelry. The research is divided into five chapters. Chapter one contains the introduction to the research study, background information to the research, the statement of the problem, general objectives, specific objectives, research questions, scope of the study and significance of the study. Chapter two contains the literature review, it is further divided into sections having the introduction and the actual literature review which involves inadequate tools and materials, discouragement by students and lack of interest in jewelry. Chapter three contains the methodology which is also divided into two sections having the introduction and research design, area and population of the study, sampling procedures, data collection methods, data collection instruments, data analysis and limitation of the study. Chapter four contains the findings of the survey which includes characteristics of the sample, tools used by jewelry students, materials used, problems facing jewelry students, standards of living, quality of jewelry produced by jewelry students, number of professional jeweler at MTSIFA, population of jewelry students, techniques used by students and plates. Chapter five contains observation, conclusion, recommendation, summary of the study, references, bibliography and appendices. en_US
