dc.description.abstract Soldering is the joining of two or more similar or dissimilar metals by the use of solder and application of heat to the object. Solder is an intermediary non-ferrous alloy whose composition in the molten state becomes extremely fluid, and has an affinity for metals joined, the proportions of the metal components in solder alloys are constituted to give them the thermal property of melting point of the parent metal being joined. The solder flows freely in the space between the parts to bond them solder acts as permanent filler. en_US
