Abstract
Management systems are essential in organizations across various sectors. They provide a structured approach to designing, implementing, monitoring, and improving processes, rules, and practices. These systems ensure efficient and effective operations that align with an organization's goals, standards, and objectives. This report details the development and implementation of the Quick Response code-based attendance management system for Makerere University. It covers the background and motivation
for the project, the methodologies used for data collection and system development, and the outcomes and implications of the system. By providing a comprehensive solution to the existing challenges in attendance management, this system aims to encourage regular attendance and support lecturers in effectively monitoring and recording student attendance.
