dc.description.abstract This was a study to investigate the factors affecting the attitude of students to online learning at the School of Statistics and Planning. The objectives of the study were; to investigate the association of gender and attitude of students to online learning and to examine whether access of University students to technological equipment is associated to their attitude to online learning. The data was collected using an online questionnaire designed using Google forms and shared to survey participants on WhatsApp. The sample for this study consisted of 100 undergraduate students, 40 percent of them were female and 60 percent of them were male. Of all the respondents, 92 percent could easily access ICT gadgets while 8 percent could not easily access ICT gadgets. The majority of the students had a negative attitude to online learning (39 percent), 31 percent were neutral and 30 percent had a positive attitude to online learning. Pearson Chi-square test was used to investigate the hypotheses and analyse the association between categorical and ordinal data. Findings from the study revealed significant statistical association between access to ICT gadgets (technological equipment) and attitude to online learning. There was significant statistical association between gender and attitude to online learning. en_US
