dc.description.abstract This study aimed to establish factors influencing customer preference of commercial bank in mubende district with a case study of commercial banks in mubende town council. This was done by investigating some possible demographic factors as well as some product & service factors. The demographic factor investigated was gender. Product and service factors included; perceived safety of funds, large number of ATMs, interest rates offered on loans and the speed of service at the tellers. This study was based on a sample of 194 commercial bank customers, to whom were administered to questionnaires. The data was captured in Microsoft excel and exported to stata for further analysis. For univariate analysis, frequency was the summary statistic used for analysis and for bivariate analysis, Pearson Chi square was used to ascertain the relationships between the dependent and independent variables. en_US
