dc.description.abstract With particular emphasis on the Kampala metropolitan area, this study explores the role managers play in advancing the careers of female musicians in Uganda. The purpose of this study is to investigate how artist managers assist female musicians in Uganda's music business in realizing their full potential. Although there have been many talented female musicians in recent years; their fame and stardom has not lasted long. This, is due to the lack of knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced managers who can support them as they develop and advance in their musical careers.I investigate the idea that there is a manager behind every successful lady in Uganda's music industry. As an illustration, consider Sheebah Karungi, who Jeff Kiwanuka has properly managed to a great extent. Unlike in the past when she was in command of her career or under the Obsessions dancing group, she has always had guidance, which has allowed her to achieve the greatest in the music industry. For this reason, this dissertation investigates how management, or a manager, might support females in developing and maintaining their position at the top of the industry. In order to do this, a lot of work must be done by each party involved i.e. the female musician and her manager. The study highlights the factors that have contributed to the failure of various female musicians and offer answers for the problems that managers and female musicians in Uganda's music business face. For example, while many female artists are in need of help and are searching for someone to manage them, they often fall into the wrong hands and are taken advantage of financially and sexually, thus failing to be assisted in realizing their dreams. This research aims to advocate for information sharing, professionalism, and protection for all parties involved especially to enable female musicians fulfill their full potential in the music industry. en_US
