dc.description.abstract This study investigates the factors influencing access to improved water sources among residents in Kiyaye-Nakulabye. A sample of 127 households was randomly selected, and econometric analysis revealed significant relationships between access to improved water sources and two key variables that is distance from the water source and household head's income. The study found that shorter distances and higher incomes increase access to improved water sources. To address these findings, recommendations include installing rainwater harvesting systems near households, extending tap water networks to reach farther communities, and implementing initiatives to boost household heads' salaries through job training and economic empowerment programs. Additionally, affordable water tariffs, subsidies, and assistance should be provided to low-income households. These findings and recommendations aim to inform strategies for improving access to reliable and sustainable water sources in Kiyaye-Nakulabye and similar contexts en_US
