dc.description.abstract The role played by music in the Catholic Church can be related to that of an engine which moves a vehicle. Music can also be related to the human heart where by without it, the body cannot function. This research was prompted by the need to reveal the role of The Spiritual Inspirations Choir in the promotion of Catholic Church music in Nabbingo Parish, Kampala Archdiocese. In examining the role of TSI Choir in the promotion of Catholic Church music in Nabbingo Parish, I study the nature of this music, considering its form and structure, accompanying musical instruments and costumes used. This study also answers two questions: “Why and how does TSI Choir promote the Catholic Church music?” In this study, the researcher argues that choirs like TSI Choir play a significant role in the rituals of the Catholic Church since, through their music compositions and performances, they promote the Catholic doctrine by upholding what the church stands for. en_US
