dc.description.abstract Painting is a form of visual art that involves the application of paint or other mediums onto a solid surface, typically using a brush. It has been practiced worldwide for various purposes, including culture preservation, commercial ventures, and artistic expression. Galleries play a crucial role in showcasing and selling artworks, providing a platform for artists to exhibit their creations. Throughout history, museums such as the Capitoline Museum and the Vatican Museums in Europe are some of the oldest museums that have served as both galleries and repositories of artistic treasures. In Uganda, the Nommo Gallery stands as a national gallery, serving as a vital venue for artists to exhibit their works for cultural, educational, and commercial purposes. en_US
