Abstract

Functions of Applied textile design at Margaret trowell school of industrial and fine art is what this research is about. It's intended to analyze the importance of applied textile design at Margaret trowell school of industrial and fine art. In chapter two, the research tries to show the major applied textile techniques used, student's attitude towards the course, design concepts, patterns, various tools, materials and the production process used for applied textile design at Margaret trowell school of industrial and fine art. Chapter three shows the research methodology used which was basically qualitative and limited quantitative in executing the study. Chapter four consists of statistical data analysis, findings based on the objectives and the preliminary field research recommendations that the researcher recommends for the future use.
