dc.description.abstract The study examines the factors affecting the business performance in Makerere University. The contribution of businesses in promoting economic growth and development is widely documented. The nature of the business operated highly affect the performance of the businesses within Makerere University. A cross-sectional research design was adopted using a quantitative approach, targeting owners and business operators. Primary data were collected using closed ended and open ended questionnaires and analyzed to generate descriptive, correlation and regression statistics. The findings suggest that the kind of business being operated greatly affect the performance of the businesses. en_US
