dc.description.abstract This dissertation investigates the factors influencing inclusivity and accessibility in public open spaces in Kampala City. The research focuses on mapping and assessing the current status of these open spaces and proposing strategies to mitigate these factors. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from surveys and interviews with qualitative data from interviews and document analysis. The findings reveal factors influencing inclusivity and accessibility such as discrimination, security policies, time restrictions, inadequate facilities and inaccessibility by disabled people. The research proposes recommendations to lessen the effects of factors such as incorporating Designing multifunctional, improving security measures, using signage. en_US
