dc.description.abstract This research report is about efficiency of the looms used in weaving at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts in Makerere University. The study provided importance of looms in weaving. The statement of the problem is there are different looms used in weaving like table looms but at Margaret trowel school of industrial and fine art looms are not enough compared to the number of students. Therefore, this study seeks to contribute to the improvement of looms used in weaving at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. The study has three objectives namely, 1. To explore the efficiency of the looms used in weaving at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. 2. To analyze the techniques used on looms at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. 3. To find out the effects of having low loom efficiency during weaving done by the students at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. The purpose of the study is the efficiency of looms used in weaving. In the study both qualitative and quantitative approaches of obtaining information was used, questionnaire, interview guides and observation was used as instruments to obtain data. Experimental and historical research design was also used. en_US
