dc.description.abstract Phtoography is the art of creating durable images either electronically ysing image sensors or chemically using image sensitive materials or chemicals like photographic film. Photography is an elective course unit at Margaret Trowell School or Industrial and Fine Art at Makerere university. It deals with studying different elements of photography, the types of cameras from obscura to digital SLRs. Also deals with the history from the early forms of phtoography to the lastest technologies in the photography industry. Photography also uses different tools such as filters, tripods, lightroom, dark room, flash lenses, etc. These all help within the different fields of photography. It also touches the issue of storage which looks at how images can be stored after being produced which storage units include internal and external hard drives, SSD cards, google drive, iCloud, google drive among many others. At Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Art, photography looks at how images are formed within the different types of cameras like the pinhole cameras and the digital cameras. All these are essential to learning how the different cameras availed to any photographer work. Some of the different types of cameras include the; Compact cameras, DSLR cameras Mirrorless cameras, Action adventure cameras, 360 cameras, Medium format cameras, Traditional film cameras, These listed above are the more modern and digital cameras. en_US
