dc.description.abstract At Makerere University, students who have stayed at the University more than two years tend to participate more in voting activities at the University than their counterparts in the rest of the years. The students with the average age of 23 highly participate in the voting activities at the University. The purpose of this study was therefore to assess the performance of student’s performance in Makerere University Guild Elections. The study was conducted on a primary data that was collected from Makerere university students from different colleges at the university. The analysis was done using the multivariate logistic regression model. The research indicated that 67.9% of the respondents participated in voting. The crucial factors for student’s performance in voting were, Religion (Pentecostal) (p-value=0.001) students whose participation in voting is also expected to increase by a factor of (6443.336). Year of study (year three) (p-value=0.042) and their participation is expected to increase by a factor of (2061.16). Students from the college of COCIS had an increasing factor in participation of (1547.692) (p-value=0.011). Bribing students is expected to increase by a factor of (52.67446) (p-value=0.006).Consideration of Political experience of the aspirants by students is also expected to increase by a factor of (88.2941) (p-value=0.038). Online voting preference is likely to increase with a factor of (0.029) (p-value=0.031). The study therefore recommended improving information sources for students to attain information regarding electoral processes to increase the number of students that participate in the voting activities at the University. en_US
