Abstract
Kasese district, people experience floods and its intense consequences, their properties are damaged, they are displaced, infrastructures damaged this is mainly due to intense rainfall leading to the bursting of the river Nyamwamba banks. Therefore it’s essential and effective to map these flood prone areas and communicate these high flooding probability locations to stakeholders and official agencies to come up with mitigation strategies.4 In the united nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), SDG 13, Climate action, this goal focuses on taking action combat climate change and its impacts like flooding .this SDG enhances integrating climate adaptation into planning.
