| dc.description.abstract | People have started using plastics in making sculpture art pieces. The study focused on how the use of plastics in sculpture has promoted environmental conservation. The study was based in Nakawa division. The study based on the following objectives; the main objective of the study was to investigate how sculpture can be used to reduce the rate of plastic pollution in Nakawa division. The other objectives of the study was; describing how plastic waste materials are used to create sculptural art pieces in promotion of environmental conservation, assessing the effects of improper plastic waste disposal on the environment and evaluating some of the artists that have used their art to address the challenge of waste disposal. The research employed one design that is; qualitative data, the data collection methods included; questionnaires, survey, interviews, focus group and observation. The researcher used research questions and applies reasoning in order to generate the information of words from the area of study. The researcher also aimed at getting ideas, people’s feelings and describing the situation in Nakawa division. | en_US |
