dc.description.abstract This study addresses the role of record labels in the promotion and development of Uganda’s music industry on both local and international platforms, this study delves into the various functions and contributions of record labels in fostering the growth, visibility, and commercial success of Ugandan musicians. The researchers used a qualitative study as a research methodology for collecting information and used tools including interviews, documentary analysis and observation and through a critical analysis of industry dynamics, artist-label relationships, promotional strategies, and the impact of technological advancements, this research aims to create awareness and provide valuable insights into the operations and effectiveness of record labels in promoting Uganda’s music industry. By examining the challenges, opportunities, and best practices associated with record label management within the Ugandan context, this study offers actionable recommendations for stakeholders seeking to optimize the role of record labels in enhancing the sustainability and global competitiveness of Uganda’s music industry en_US
