Abstract
This study consists of why African traditional dress code has been dissected by both students and lecturers as a fashion inspiration at the Makerere University School of Industrial and Fine Art. As noted, both the students and lecturers prefer the western culture in terms of fashion influence compared to the African culture hence adopting western dress code rather than African dress code.
Hence, investigation on why African traditional dress code has been disserted but rather western cultural dress code.
Chapter one consists of the introduction and background information, purpose of study, objectives, research questions, significance and scope among others.
Chapter two consists of the literature review that includes the different forms of ideologies that helped with the above research around the same study area.
The third chapter contains the methodology about the study area, questionnaire, data analysis, sample strategy among others
