Abstract
This report covers the impact of participating in annual departmental productions to the drama students. It looks at what composes the PAF Department, its philosophy, what the Department is there for and why it introduced Departmental Productions. More so, it looks at the courses offered courses offered at this program, its activities, the output from specific courses especially Drama and Film, how the outputs are validated that is the processes they go through and finally the validity of departmental productions. Furthermore it looks at how effectively the drama students are equipped for their anticipated expectations and also analyses if the department meets the student’s expectations. It also explores the student’s participation experience and lessons drawn. It further compares the current departmental productions with the old people’s theatre because the two share a lot in common. Qualitative and quantitative methods were both used to gather the information in this report and it was found out that departmental productions have partly caused an impact on drama students however there are some things if revised, it would make the productions more resources, desirable and impactful. Finally the research gives some recommendations to follow if the betterment of departmental productions is to be realized.
