dc.description.abstract The research is aimed at studying how the people in Ntinda, be it residents or passers-by, have adapted to billboard usage and how they interpret them. The researcher will look into the processes undertaken in the manufacturing of these billboards. The researcher therefore reviewed publications about billboards from different online sites in order to develop a scope on what has been done and what has not been done. The field study was conducted by the researcher to examine the variety, content and focus of billboards, how billboards in Ntinda correspond with the type of business and social class, and examine the audience’s responses to these billboards. From the facts obtained from the field, the researcher will the analyse the data collected, make conclusions and finally draw recommendations that will probably advance billboard usage. In this case, the study reference was in Ntinda-Kampala district. The research was segmented into five main chapters; chapter one contains the introduction and background, problem statement, objectives, research questions, scope and significance of the study. Chapter two is a critical analysis of what billboards are, the processes and techniques undertaken to produce billboards and the relevance of billboards in advertising business. Chapter three outlines the methodology used by the researcher. Chapter four entails the presentation and interpretation of findings as Chapter five carries the conclusions and recommendations of the entire study. en_US
