The aim of this study is twofold; first, to investigate the determinants of choice of commercial banks among the businessmen in Kampala district, and second, to relate this study with the previous findings on the same phenomenon, extent studies have adopted mainly quantitative approach. In order to bridge this gap and contribute to the existing knowledge, qualitatively inspired research design was adopted, thus facilitating in-depth understanding of the determinants of bank selection. The study majorly focused on three factors of convenience, service quality and technology and a total of 70 respondents (businessmen) in Kikuubo and Nakivubo markets were interviewed. Findings show that convenience, service quality and technology are the first three most important determining factors.en_US
