This research is about understanding the influence of infrastructural development projects on land use activities in the surrounding areas. This study was conducted along the Kampala –Entebbe express way and it was guided by the following objectives To determine the existing land use activities before and after the implementation of the Kampala Entebbe express way in the surrounding areas, to establish the impacts of the Kampala Entebbe express way onto land use activities and finally to determine measures to be undertaken by the government in minimizing the negative effects on such projects Methodology of study included mainly: review of existing literature, interview and observation to a large extent. The study reveals that much as it is generally accepted that infrastructure provision can lead to improved land use activities to the areas due to improved accessibility, it is not entirely true with the case of the Kampala- Entebbe express way mainly due to the closed nature of the road.en_US
