The RideWithMe system is a web/mobile application that works within a centralized network. This project presents a review on the software program “RideWithMe system” as should be used by a respective user: a driver to create and set up journeys, a passenger to request for a ride, and a system administrator to monitor and manage other users. The RideWithMe system is built to manage and computerize the process of how an individual, would travel with a stranger in his/her vehicle )not the stranger’s vehicle) without being fearful for their life and property. The system captures all user details and the time an action is taken for proper management and monitoring. On order to achieve the design, tests were done on multiple car owners and it was found to be practical in the real world. For implementation in terms of code, we used Android studio for the mobile app then sublime text3 as our text editor, lamp server and MySQL database for web. For the web based, the system was developed in PHP for server side programming, and JavaScript, Ajax, bootstrap, HTML and CSS for front end. For the mobile application, we used java for back-end and XML for mobile view. The software achieved is capable of allowing any user to perform their actions. It is recommended that despite the present functionality of the designed software, an additional functionality such as the use of e-mail to send ride requests and notifications to users and an e-payment method should be implemented into the systemen_US
