Considering Agriculture being the backbone of Uganda’s Economy and the main source of food to almost all families in the nation. Many people depend on agriculture entirely unlike a very small percentage that do farming as a supplement. Some farmers can ably carry out the activity however many of them are still constrained due to lack of enough finances to fund these projects. The majority that cannot fund themselves have resorted to bank loans that come with hefty interest rates due to the fact that it is hard for these banks to assess the possibility of the clients to pay back. The first chapter of this report states clearly the main aim of this research which is to develop a mobile application that will connect smallholder farmers in rural areas to the potential investors at a low interest rate. An application that allows funders predict the possible outcomes of the farms they expect to invest in based on natural conditions like temperature, rainfall and the size of the production area. This guides the various stakeholders and allows them make informed decisions is the main product of this project. Through the various research methods that will be discussed deeper in this report, we managed to get the views and ideas of the different stakeholders that enabled us to come up with a project that fully satisfies the needs of our target users who are the smallholder farmers and funders.en_US
