dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Chapter one introduces the project, its problem statement, and objectives. In the introduction of the project, the fishing sector in Uganda is discussed with the various technologies used. The problem statement encompasses the problems the project intends to solve in the fishing sector. Chapter two encompasses the literature review which consists of details of silverfish and the various technologies used in preserving it. The various types of fish dryers are also discussed in this chapter. Chapter three covers the methodology which includes all the steps that were taken to construct the hybrid fish dryer. The steps include data collection and analysis, preliminary design, material collection, detailed designs. It also includes the performance evaluation of the prototype.en_US
