dc.description.abstractThe Research was carried out in Busia District and it majorly based on the different family values embedded in the Proverbs of the Samia and how the community uses these Proverbs to remind the young generation about their roles. The study looked at evaluating the family values in the selected Samia Proverbs. The researcher investigated by studying the Proverbs on the subject of family values among the Samia people in Busia District. The Proverbs were carefully sorted to represent the different family values. The Researcher recommended the different people who can help to act as the voice of the Samia culture for example teachers, church leaders, politicians, parents, musicians among others. A conclusion was made to give a view that proverbs play a great role in enforcing family values among the Samia of Busia District in Eastern Uganda and therefore, they should be embraced in our daily use.en_US
