The increased failing of A-Level biology by senior six candidates has led to consider the effect of part-timing on teaching and learning of A-level biology, Part-timing is the practice among many secondary school teachers where a teacher is employed simultaneously in more than one school and also in non-teaching work, such teachers allocate specific days or half days to specific schools. The study was a cross -sectional to find the effect of part-timing on teaching and learning of A-level biology. Questionnaires were used in the study; they were handed to senior six students by the researchers to get the required information that was later used in data analysis and in making conclusions and recommendations The study found out that part-timing really affects the teaching and learning of A-level biology. The study found out that teachers that are in school for one day don’t involve their students, they don’t give group assignments and presentations, they don’t use videos and charts to enhance learning in their classes, they don’t assess their students through tests and exercise and don’t provide student support time after lessons. The study found out that teachers that are in school for four days involve their students, they give group assignments and presentations, they use videos and charts to enhance learning in their classes, they assess their students through tests and exercise and provide student support time after lessons.en_US
