| dc.description.abstract | This report is a record of the five chapters indicating activities we undertook in the project under
clear supervision and guidance.
Chapter one comprises of the introduction of the report. This contains the background, objectives
and specific objectives, problem statement and justification of the study.
Chapter two gives a detailed description of the climate change scenarios, different methods of
determining runoff, storm water management approaches, methods of determining time of
concentration, catchment delineation, hydrologic analysis and flood inundation mapping.
Chapter three involves a detailed description of the methodology (materials and methods) used in
carrying out and performing different activities of the project. This involved site visits, data
collection, and delineation of catchment using QGIS, determining runoff quantity and flood
volumes and finally flood mapping to show areal extent of the floods.
Chapter four discusses the results attained in modelling the drainage system of the catchment
area using Epa SWMM and HEC RAS software. Also rainfall data is analyzed.
Finally, Chapter six involves the conclusion and recommendations based on the results obtained
